DUE TO COVID-19, OLD FORGE STUDIO HAS CEASED OPERATION UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
Old Forge Studio is a dual purpose space; originally intended to be a small recording studio in the forge outbuilding at the Velvet Mill in Stonington, its raison d’être expanded to include an audio shop as well, for 3 years at the Packer Building at 12 Roosevelt Avenue, Mystic, CT.
As of April, 2020, Old Forge has relocated the hi-fi shop to the Velvet Mill in Stonington. Recording activities have ceased due to Covid-19.
Falcon Audio LS3/5a sit atop Auditorium 23 Hommage 755, (before the Falcon stands were delivered!), Leben CS600 integrated amp, Sugden A21SE integrated amp, Sony PlayStation 1, Shindo Aurieges pre-amp and Montille CV391 stretch to fill out functionality while waiting for AcousticPlan CD transport and Box Furniture rack to be delivered. Also shown, a PTP Solid 12+9 ‘table with Schick arm and Denon/Midas 103. The PTP has been replaced with the JC Verdier La Nouvelle Platine, EMT 997 arm and EMT TSD-75 cartridge.
